How to obtain Star Heads[]

Star heads are a special type of prisoner head in Battleblock Theater that are not unlocked by spending gems in the Gift Shop. Instead Star heads are obtained by completing the current weeks Furbottom Feature, or by playing the game on specific dates, or from owning a game in the behemoth franchise. News of when certain star heads are available is located on the Official Behemoth Discord server in the Furbottom Features channel. Star Heads can also be traded in the gift shop with other players, or bought from the Steam market place, except for a select few like the Knight.

Winston		Dan's best friend, companion, inspiration, lover, confidante, and enabler. Oh and he makes this squeek that doesn't sound doglike at all. Like he swallowed a toy or something.
Knight	Purchase Behemoth's other game Castle Crashers on Steam.	Sorry, just the one; your other Knights are in another Castle. Crashers.
Swamp Bro		Maybe if he'd kept up on his washing, we'd never know that he was from the swamps. Then again, a bro's gotta represent. No really- if a bro ever stops representing, they die. Kinda puts all that boasting in perspective.
Barbarian		Bearing the ceremonial helmet of his forefathers is really just an excuse to play in the dirt and be extra rowdy.
Thief		The Thief's archery ability will not score him a role in a feature film anytime soon. Though appearing in two games ain't too shabby. Watch out though. He tends to take extra slices on pizza day.
Troll		Ah yes, homo trogloditus... better known as the common troll. Nearly hunted to extinction for their obnoxinary glands, trolls have seen a recent population explosion in the digital age.
Giraffey		Buy your official Behemoth brand Giraffey keychain and phone charm today! SOOOO CUTE!
Rammy		Rammy evolved just in time to be locked up in BattleBlock Theater. Some ungulates have all the luck.
The King		He knows a thing or two about the value of green gems.
Alien		Where is my spaceship!?!?
Fat Kid		Fat Kid spent many-a-day running around with Alien, and just look at him now!
FBI Agent 1		This operative's investigations were cut short when a bevy of freakish felines captured his attention. Along with the rest of him, for that matter. Or was that his plan all along...
FBI Agent 2		Unable to recall if he was Agent 1's exit plan or escape route, Agent 2 allowed his capture in order to ask Agent 1 directly. This plan seemingly backfired.

Furbottom		Self-made billionaire, cat fanatic, and theatrics afficianado.

Hooshmand the Wise		Originally released on National Cat Day. This ol' scholarly feline is filled with sage-like meows.
Cecil (Cooking Cat) STEAM. Cecil (Cyclops) XBLA.	This Special Head has 2 different versions of it. Steam has Cecil (Cooking Cat), While Xbox has Cecil (Cyclops) Cecil Cooking Cat is obtained by completing the current Friday's Furbottom Feature. Cecil (Cyclops) is currently unobtainable as on Xbox 360 version the servers for it were shut down in late 2019, so the only way to get them now is by trading.	If you came from where Cecil came from, you'd think he was handsome. You would both be wrong.
stubby (Cupcake) STEAM. Stubby (Finger) XBLA.	This Special Head has 2 different versions of it. Steam has Cupcake (A character from Pit People) While Xbox has the finger version of Stubby. Stubby (Cupcake) is obtained by completing the current Friday's Furbottom Feature. The finger version of Stubby is currently unobtainable as on Xbox 360 version the servers for it were shut down in late 2019, so the only way to get them now is by trading.	Master thumb wrestler. Had a good showing back in Great Showdown of seventeen-o-fifty-nine. Kinda fell off the circuit for a bit, but now uses past talents to barter in prison.
Lava Lamp. Hatzilla. Scuba Steve.	These 3 Special Heads are not obtainable by completing Furbottom Features but instead were only available during the Steam Summer Sale 2014 (19th-30th of June) and could potentially be gained as an item drop from crafting a SSS'14 badge. The Lava Lamp was an ultra-rare 'precious' drop so the chances of getting one were...microscopic. Only about 600 of Lava Lamps were 'crafted' during the sale and that is the finite amount of them. The prisoner will not be re-released. Hatzilla was a 'rare' tier drop so there was only a slight probability of obtaining one. About 20k of Hatzillas were 'crafted' during the sale and that is the finite amount of them. The prisoner will not be re-released. Scuba Steve as of 'common' rarity so there was a high probability of obtaining one. About 200k of Scuba Steves were 'crafted' during the sale and that is the finite amount of them. The prisoner will not be re-released. The only current way of unlocking these 3 prisoners is by purchasing them on the Steam Market place.	Lava Lamp: Being the embodiment of grooviness is almost worth having a head made out of glass. Almost.Hatzilla: We all know the power of hats. Scuba Steve: You might be wondering why he still dies when he jumps in water. May I direct you to the oxygen pack NOT mounted on his back?
Peeps	Can only be unlocked by completing the current Furbottom Feature, or by trading in-game. Cannot be bought on the Steam Market place or sold on the Steam Market place either. You can still buy old listings of the head but people have overpriced them.	If all aliens are as happy-go-lucky as this one then I see no reason for us not to follow suit.
Tiny Monkey	Can only be unlocked by completing the current Furbottom Feature, or by trading in-game. Cannot be bought on the Steam Market place or sold on the Steam Market place either. You can still buy old listings of the head but people have overpriced them.	He is a monkey with a tiny head. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?
Tiny Cyclops		he tiniest cyclops on the market! Playing/performing as this fellow feels pretty unusual and you will probably be under a (false) impression that you are faster and have a smaller hitbox than other prisoners.
Turkey		Turkeys have adapted to their gluttonous environment by always presenting a moving target, and in Turkey prisoner's case, also by growing thumbs. Seriously, would you eat something with thumbs? Yech.
Cyber Monday		Seems like it's cyber month these days. Know what I mean?
Santa		You'd think that after so many years of social service, someone would have tried to break Santa out by now. This makes Santa sad.
Toast		A toast, to Toast! It's delicious!
Duck Shark		Strange that only prisoners and Duck Sharks are able to blow themselves up. Yeah, you forgot how weird that was, didn't you?
Buckle Your Pants		If you choose to do this, whatever you do, make sure you leave the fly down.
Jonny Four		The last robot of his line (for legal reasons), Jonny 4 is just as good at catchphrases as the 5th model would have been, had that model ever been built before starring in a movie that was fun for the whole family.
Snakeface		Some people just get a snake tattoo'd to their chest. We call those people wimps.
The Dad		Don't argue with The Dad or he'll tell you what it was like when he was your age. He will also tell you to stop talking back to your mother, which is a bit creepy.
Wheels		Earings, hats, headbands, headphones, earmuffs, bandanas. We're thinking too small here. Cars. Accessory of the future.
Little Feets		The discarded stilts and unzipped costume lay beside a trail of unnaturally small tracks. The legend of Bigfoot had ended, but the legend of Little Feets was just beginning...
Tooth Brush		The last of his kind. Tooth Brush was marooned after a failed colonization attempt by his people. Tooth Brush is not alone in this world for he finds comfort in exchaning stories with his friend, Boot.
Mr. Peabody		You see there was this minor laceration that got infected. It needed bandaging and you know, just spiraled out of control from there.
Snail		What you really don't want to see is when he sucks his whole body up into that shell. Or maybe you do, you molluscophile, you.
Triple Threat		Quite the lady's man. Lady's men? But the only thing worse than a love triangle is a love hexagon.
Moose		A beautiful creature. A majestic beast. A total jerk at the local bowling alley.
Sausage		"Let's all go to the lobby... let's all go to the lobby... and find ourselves some meat!" Some recurring dreams are the wurst. Hah!
Donut		It's super rude to look through the hole. Not only is Donut self-conscious about his lack of jelly-filling, but his eyes are also UP HERE.
Paul		Evil never sleeps, and neither will you once you've signed up for the Platinum Paul Package. No refunds or cancellations accepted.
Meebs		After losing his lightbulb eyes, Meebs was left to wander the planet blind. Until one day this walking sconce found his way onto a certain friendly boat.
Manbirth		Look this happens all the time. It just doesn't get that much coverage in the media, but more common than you would think. Like blue ice.
I SEE YOU		When you're dealing with mystical forces you see a lot of crazy things. Sometimes those things are ducksharks, or cursed hats, maybe talking car heads. And sometimes they're four eyed head things that stare right into your soul.
Boom!		Sure, you could use him with the Grenade, but that's a little on the nose, don't you think? Try the flying disc instead; it is the gentlemen's weapon of choice.
Blocketeer		Why would you expect him to come with a rocketpack? Copyright infringement aside, BattleBlock Theater is just lousy with the things.
25% off		When you ask them to take a little bit off the top, maybe you should be more specific.
50% off		Not ever having to pay for optometrists, hair care products or nose-hair trimmers make up for most of the savings alone.
Steamroll Victim -1		I think it's safe to say by now that his head is never going to go back to it's original shape.
Steamroll Victim -2		Flattery will get you no where. Get it? FLAT-tery!
Boot		A wise old cobbler predicted the singularity would occur in technology. I'll give you a guess as to what field.
Gerard		Gerard's opposable face is what separates him from lesser primates. He'd explain all of the advantages, but he doubts you could keep up.
The Monster		Paleontologists will tell you otherwise, but let's face it: there is exactly zero difference between dinosaurs and monsters. What they call the "Mesozoic Era", I call 180 million years of sheer terror.
The Final Unicorn		This is it: this is the last unicorn you get. We're putting our foot down.
The Nose Knows		Nobody nose how he ended up in BattleBlock Theater, but if you're looking to blow away the competition, choosing him just makes good scents.
Rose		The sum of its petals. When coming together it assembles into a Valentine's Day treat.
Ms. Pump		If wearing your heart on your sleeve isn't sensitive enough for you, please consider wearing your heart directly on your face. They'll know how you feel, and you'll know how they feel. Terrified, most likely.
Siren		Legends say, Sirens once lured sailors to their doom. Really? I don't get the appeal.
Mr. Bobbins		Mr. bobbins is not just a prisoner of the theater. But a walking prison in his own head. No, literally his head is prison to a symbiotic wormlike lifeform that feeds off him daily.
Groundhog		Neither grounds nor hogs. Just cosmic karma.

Trivia[]

Some Star Heads are references to the Behemoth's other games like Alien Hominid, Castle Crashers, and Pit People.
Cecil and Stubby are the only two heads to have ever been changed after the game launched on Steam, Cecil being replaced with Cecil (Cooking Cat) and Stubby being replaced with Cupcake (but keeping the same name in the Steam inventory and Community Market).
- Interestingly, the Cupcake was added around the same time that Pit People was announced. This makes him the only Behemoth character to have a cameo in another Behemoth game before the one he originates from was released.
Star Heads can be animated and some have colored areas that won't change when you are a different color (like the Hatzilla Star Head).
Winston is based off of Dan Paladin's pet dog of the same name.
Any star head can be sold on the Steam Community Market, except for the Knight, Tiny Monkey and Peeps,
The Tiny Monkey and Peeps star heads are overpriced on the Steam Community Market compared to everything else on there. This is potentially due to them not being marketable anymore, and as such, all the cheaper listings were either bought up, pulled down by the sellers or expired.

Star heads have a unique acid bubble skull, and unique skeleton after being zapped. Custom heads share the same zap skeleton.
