Rigel is one of the 320 prisoners that can be unlocked in Battleblock Theater.
He’s one of the few prisoners to get more than one official art piece, and “voice acting” by the Narrator.
Personality[]
“Brother to Nigel. This fraternal twin hangs on the side of the triangles though suffers the same occular limitations as his brother.” - Steam Inventory description for Rigel.
Rigel appears to be a rather angry and short-tempered person. He is seen arguing with Reginald in the prologue cutscene and is seen again in the Chapter 4 cutscene.
In his prisoner archival footage he is seen constantly trying to kill or hit his twin brother, Nigel.

Rigel is a pink triangle head, he has one eye and no visible mouth.
Trivia[]
- Rigel has a fraternal twin, Nigel. They appear to be identical apart from head shape.
- Rigel is the only brother shown in cutscenes, Nigel is not seen in any other forms than as an unlockable head.
- Rigel was seen as a puppet in the original introduction cutscene for the game from 2011.
- Rigel is also seen on official merchandise, appearing on the official 10 year anniversary shirts’ design, reaching for a gem.
