The Frog is one of the 13 weapons a player can obtain in the game BattleBlock Theater.
Information[]
The Frog is a weapon that moves around until it reaches a player or AI or walks 26 blocks, which it will then explode.
In general, the Frog benefits a lot of areas, but generally range from very little difference to just average in those areas. It's primary use is for killing. It is unique that is can walk up walls, ceilings and even water which can help plan a sneak attack. On the other hand, however, it is very predictable. In addition to being completely visible, the frog has a small but noticeable delay before it actually explodes, which is just enough time to avoid being killed. Worse, it is very easy to get yourself killed, since even the player can activate the frog.
The Frog can also help slightly help with traversing to an area that would otherwise be inaccessible. However, this is a risk in of itself due to the aforementioned ability to kill the user. Even then, it is very hard to find a level that this would be beneficial; most areas have added deteriorating blocks that can be used instead of deploying a frog. Even then, most other weapons would otherwise be more useful.
In general, the Frog is provides a little bit of everything. However, it still does not provided a sufficient benefit to make a noticeable difference, so you're better off going with something that focuses on one area specifically.
Uses[]
Like the Acid Bubble, the Frog is dangerous but can be used as a platform for leverage, However, the frog restores both jumps rather than just acting as an additional jump. It can be used to cross large gaps such as water and spikes, as well as to climb walls in a similar manner to the Dart.
It can also interact with some objects:
- Fan Switches
- Puzzle
- Ferdinand
- Duck Sharks
- Fans (Parallel)
It does not interact with:
- Lava Blocks
- Ice Blocks
- Bubblegum Blocks
- Hidden Blocks
- Water
- Spikes
- Teleporters
- Conveyors
- Launchers
- Bomb Blocks
- Light Bridges (They will still obstruct a light bridge forming)
- Rocket Pads
- Fans (Perpendicular)
- Gems
Lasers will cause the frog to detonate.
Glitches[]
This frog is not only a great weapon, but it's also glitchy. This happens at random but if two frogs go in opposite ways and meet it's possible for them to go up or down with nothing in between. This happens most likely because the frogs can walk on walls both of them are being treated as a wall for eachother.
