Overview[]
There are eight chapters in the game. Each chapter has 14 levels total, those being 9 standard levels, 2 finale levels, 3 additional levels, called Encores, and a secret level. Upon entering a chapter, its title card will appear, showing which chapter you entered along with a small image and caption.
When you start a Story game you always spawn in the Prison and going right will take you to the chapters. If you haven't made any progress at all in the story or if you join a player/a player joins you who hasn't made any progress, you will spawn outside the Theater on the shipwrecked SS FRIENDSHIP.
Chapter progress is indicated at the chapter door in the overworld. Purple dots = A++, Green dots = A, ? dots=B, Red dots = C. (image of each dot type, get image of door that has all dot types).
100% completion reward[]
In Player stats there's famous metre and you can see other friends famous metre too, the metre shows 4 separate columns, Solo Normal and Insane, and Co-op Normal and insane. The metre will be fully purple and have an electrical wiggly line if you have A++ every level in solo normal/insane and Co-op normal/insane, including secret levels which means you must play the story mode 4 times. Doing this gives good gems but not enough for the Freedom Hero achievement, you will be around 300 gems short but you can grind arena and play features for those last gems. (image of famous metre)

Trivia[]
- The Vault is the only chapter to not give access to the gift shop, but it can be seen in the chapter 8 overworld on the far right. You also enter the gift shop after beating the 2nd finale and rescue Hatty.
- From Chapters 1 to 6, the Theater gradually becomes nicer looking, with better looking decor, walls and lights. But, by the time you reach chapter 7, the Cat Guards start a riot and destroy the Theater.
