BattleBlock Theater, of course, would be unplayable if there was no "soil".
That's where the blocks come in.
There are multiple kinds of them. Here are just a few:
- Normal Blocks - Can't be passed through, but can be stood on. No special properties.
- Fading Blocks - Can be passed through. Look like normal blocks.
- Cloud Blocks - Can be passed through and stood on, but can't be dropped down from.
- Lava Blocks - Can be used to quickly bounce up, sideways or diagonally, depending on which part of them is touched.
- Bubblegum Blocks - Can be used to slowly descend or to quickly climb up.
- Hover Blocks - Can be moved in any direction, unless stopped by other types of blocks.
- Bomb Blocks - Can temporarily disappear after a while when touched.
- Laser Blocks - Can fire a horizontal or vertical laser beam.
