BattleBlock Theater Modding

HxD

HxD is a program that lets you read and change the hex of files. in BattleBlock Theater it is mainly used for level editing.

TexMod

this was done using TexMod

TexMod is a lesser know tool that let's you rip and change textures.

How to change textures with TexMod.

1. You have to download it.
2. Open TexMod.
3. Click target application and find BattleBlock in your files.
4. When you have it targeting BattleBlock then make a folder by BattleBlock in the files.
5. After that go back into TexMod and go to logging mode and check all the boxes in there and also make the output folder the folder you just made.
6. Now change output format to DDS and yo can set the logging button to what ever suites you best.
7. Now click run if you have a anti-virus going it might not keep BattleBlock open and close it.
8. now you can look through the sprites with numpad (-) and (+) and log it with the button that you set logging to.
9. Get Paint.net after you are done getting Paint.net right click the sprite in the folder you want to change and click open with and then Paint.net then you can edit the sprite.
10. once you are done editing the sprite go to file and save and then click ok when it pops up the thing.
11. now go back into texMod and go to package build and find the file in the folder when you put all the sprites and find the file called TexMod and open that in TexMod.
12. then click Build and once it's done building it will ask where you want to put the package(Texture Pack) and what you want to name it.
13. now just go to package mode and open the file and click Run.

RadVideoTools

RadVideoTools allows you to change and bink files like videos to make the extension different. for BattleBlock Theater this can be used for changing the movies and main menu background video. the file type for the videos are .bk2

it's a program made by WiizRDz that lets you see and edit levels and lobbies out side of the game.

IDA Pro is a program that lets you decompile games and modify and find stuff in the game code but it doesn't work that good for BattleBlock Theater.
